Meet our Administrative Staff
 
 
Club Manager: Melodi Caruso
 
Melodi Caruso came to Valley as Club Manager in January 2009 with 12 years experience in the country club and events industry.  As manager of Valley, she is responsible for the entire food and beverage operation including the restaurant, sales & production of events, and membership services. 

A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, and member of the Rhode Island Wedding Group, Melodi prides herself on customer service and works aggressively to ensure that quality and value always exceed the client's expectations.  After executing over 1000 weddings and countless events, she is considered an expert in the industry.

Melodi resides in Johnston with her husband Anthony and their dog Nico.

 


 
Business Manager: Lea Furia
 
Lea Furia joined us at Valley Country Club in October of 2016 as our new Business Manager. Prior to joining Valley, Lea was the Financial Assistant at another private club in the area. Lea handles all financial duties of the club, including member billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

She has a degree in General Business and years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping and management. Lea has also been in the wedding industry for 16 years as a hair stylist, but cannot resist her love for numbers.


Lea resides in Coventry with her husband Erik, two children Lexi and Joey and two bulldogs named Penelope and Giovanni.
 

Executive Chef/Assistant Manager:
Terry Saccomagno
 
Terry Saccomagno is the Executive Chef and Assistant Manager at Valley Country Club.  Terry joined his long time colleague Melodi Caruso, and came to Valley in 2009 from Alpine Country Club where he held the same position for 24 years. Terry leads his culinary team in the daily operation of the kitchen and banquets, as well as manages the restaurant staff.

He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Johnson & Wales University. Terry has been in the food service industry for nearly 35 years with the majority of those years spent in the country club environment.  His specialties are dominated by Italian cuisine, with his first passion being to cater weddings and large events. 

Terry resides in North Providence with his wife Lynne and three children Lauren, AJ, and Santino.

 


 
Greens Superintendent: Frank Arruda

Frank Arruda enters his 5th season as the Greens Superintendent at Valley Country Club.  Frank came to Valley from Agawam Hunt with 35 years of greens maintenance. He supervises a staff of approximately 20 who maintain the course on a daily basis. 
 
Frank is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and the University of Rhode Island and is a Certified Golf Course Superintendent and a Certified Irrigation Auditor.  He is also a member of the GCSAA & RIGCSA. 

Frank has three children Gary, Catherine, and Mary, and resides in Cranston with his wife Susan.
